Blake's Tenor - 2009

A standard four string ukulele in spruce made with a couple variations of reclaimed Mystery Mahogany. The back sides and neck were resawn from left over boards from a residential deck project just west of Boston MA. Blake's tenor has a twin that went out to a little man named Lyman in Massachusetts. I hope these instrument will inspire them to let music into their lives.

Scale: 21.125  •  Body Length: 12 •  Lower Bout: 3  •  Upper Bout: 3  •  Waist: 6  •   Depth at Neck: 3  •  Depth at Tail: 3.5

This tenor ukulele was constructed with a Spanish heel and the Sitka Spruce top has three fan braces heavily inspired by the instructional book and plans available from Hana Lima 'Ia.

Although restrained in its decoration the voice is complex and surprisingly open.
